Lead Manufacturing Linux / Network Engineer📍 South Bay Area, CAAbout the RoleOur client is an innovative AI computing and advanced hardware company building next-generation systems that require highly reliable, secure, and scalable manufacturing infrastructure.We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Linux / Network Engineer who is both deeply hands-on and capable of leading infrastructure initiatives across manufacturing environments. This role is ideal for someone who has not only supported Linux and network systems, but has also owned improvements, driven process changes, and led technical execution end-to-end.Technical FocusLinux (RHEL / Rocky Linux): 55%Networking (Routing, Switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF): 35%Firewalls (Palo Alto): 10%ResponsibilitiesOwn and support Linux and network infrastructure across manufacturing environmentsDesign, deploy, and maintain highly available Linux systems and servicesLead infrastructure improvements in reliability, automation, and operational processesDrive end-to-end infrastructure initiatives from design through implementationManage enterprise networking (routing, switching, VLANs, segmentation)Administer Palo Alto firewalls and security policiesDevelop automation using Ansible and scripting toolsPartner with engineering and manufacturing teams to support production systemsTroubleshoot complex infrastructure issues impacting operationsMaintain documentation, standards, and operational best practicesRequired Qualifications7+ years of Linux infrastructure experience (RHEL / Rocky Linux)Strong networking experience (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, BGP/OSPF)Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewallsStrong automation experience (Ansible or scripting)Experience supporting production or manufacturing environmentsProven ability to drive infrastructure improvements and technical initiativesStrong troubleshooting and operational support skillsPreferred QualificationsManufacturing, industrial, or OT environment experienceExperience leading infrastructure modernization or automation projectsCloud/hybrid experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience as a technical lead or infrastructure owner
