This role will develop intuitive, secure, and reliable mobile experiences while connecting wearable devices to our cloud platform through Bluetooth, GPS, real-time communication, and emergency response features.Working alongside the Technical Lead, Full Stack Software Developer, AI & Machine Learning Engineer, and UI/UX Design Lead, you will help create a seamless experience across mobile devices and wearable technology.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain iOS and Android mobile applications.Integrate wearable devices with mobile applications.Implement Bluetooth, GPS, location services, and push notifications.Develop emergency alert and SOS functionality.Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs and cloud services.Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.Collaborate with the UI/UX Design Lead to deliver an exceptional user experience.Test, troubleshoot, and resolve mobile application issues.Stay current on mobile technologies and wearable device advancements.QualificationsExperience developing iOS and Android applications.Knowledge of cross-platform or native mobile development frameworks.Experience integrating APIs and cloud-based services.Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), GPS, and push notification services.Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.Passion for building innovative technology that creates meaningful social impact.Preferred ExperienceFlutter or React NativeSwift and KotlinBluetooth Low Energy (BLE)Wearable Device IntegrationGPS & Location ServicesFirebaseREST APIsMobile Security Best PracticesWhy Join LoopRoots?Help develop innovative mobile technology that supports personal safety and community impact.Work with a collaborative team of product, engineering, AI, and design professionals.Build real-world applications with the potential to serve communities nationwide.Gain valuable experience developing an emerging technology platform.Future EmploymentPotential for Paid Employment This volunteer position may transition into a paid role following a successful performance review and funding availability.
