Plant Technician

The Plant Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role supports manufacturing uptime by performing preventive maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and improving equipment reliability in a fast-paced industrial environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, compressors, and production machineryPerform electrical troubleshooting (AC/DC), including sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and basic PLC fault diagnosticsConduct preventive and predictive maintenance per PM schedulesDiagnose mechanical issues involving bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systemsRead and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsSupport equipment installations, upgrades, and plant shutdowns/turnaroundsUse CMMS to document work orders, parts usage, and maintenance historyEnsure compliance with safety procedures, LOTO, OSHA standards, and plant policiesCollaborate with production, engineering, and reliability teams to improve equipment performanceMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experienceStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and motor controlsWillingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as neededPLC experience (Allen-Bradley or Siemens)Welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG/Stick)CMMS experience
