Our portfolio supports the full spectrum of transit operations, including demand response, fixed route and on demand transportation, asset management, safety, workforce management, and charter management.We are building the technology foundation to support our next stage of growth, and we are looking for talented people who want to solve complex problems, modernize critical applications, and build software that has a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer who can help us design, build, modernize, and support secure, scalable enterprise web and SaaS applications.This is a hands on engineering role for someone who is equally comfortable working within established enterprise applications and helping move technology forward. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, including application design, backend services, web interfaces, APIs, databases, integrations, automated testing, deployment, and production support.Our environment includes both established Microsoft technologies such as .NET Framework 4.8.x, ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, and Web API, as well as modern .NET 6 and .NET 8 development. We need an engineer who can operate effectively in both worlds.The right person brings strong technical fundamentals, practical problem solving skills, sound engineering judgment, and a high level of ownership. You should enjoy digging into complex problems, improving existing systems, and building solutions that are maintainable for the long term.What You’ll Do• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web and SaaS applications using C#, ASP.NET, and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.• Work with existing applications built on .NET Framework 4.8.x, ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, and Web API while contributing to modernization using .NET 6 and .NET 8.• Design and build scalable backend services, reusable business logic, domain components, and secure RESTful APIs.• Develop responsive user experiences using JavaScript or TypeScript and modern front end frameworks.• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, relational data models, and data access components.• Work with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and related data technologies.• Translate business requirements into technical designs, API contracts, data models, implementation plans, and testable solutions.• Own features from initial design and development through testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.• Build automated unit, integration, and regression tests that improve software quality and release confidence.• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Support, and other Engineering team members to deliver dependable solutions.• Participate in code reviews and help establish strong standards for architecture, readability, maintainability, security, and performance.• Contribute to CI/CD processes using GitHub, Azure DevOps, or comparable platforms.• Investigate complex production issues, identify root causes, and drive durable solutions rather than temporary fixes.• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, troubleshooting guides, and release documentation.• Mentor other developers, share knowledge, and help raise the technical standard of the broader team.What You Bring• 6+ years of professional software development experience with meaningful full stack responsibilities.• Strong hands on experience with C#, ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, Web API, and .NET Framework 4.8.x.• Professional experience developing applications or services using modern .NET, including .NET 6 or .NET 8.• Strong SQL development skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, transactions, optimization, and troubleshooting.• Experience with SQL Server and familiarity with PostgreSQL or another relational database platform.• Experience designing, building, consuming, and securing RESTful APIs.• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern front end framework.• Experience structuring reusable business logic and domain layers within complex enterprise applications.• Experience with Git based source control, pull requests, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.• Working knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, secure coding, and software quality practices.• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to investigate complex technical issues and drive them through resolution.• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.• A track record of taking ownership, managing priorities, and delivering high quality work in a fast moving environment.Even Better If You Have• Experience with CSLA or similar enterprise application frameworks.• Experience with microservices, distributed architectures, multi tenant SaaS platforms, or cloud based applications.• Experience with TypeScript, Webpack, Vite, micro frontends, or reusable front end component libraries.• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, single sign on, and cloud identity concepts.• Experience with SSRS, Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics platforms.• Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, SonarQube, or similar delivery and code quality tools.• Experience integrating mobile applications, ERP systems, partner platforms, hardware systems, or external data providers.• Experience within fleet management, asset management, transportation, enterprise operations, or another complex business domain.• Experience mentoring developers or leading technical design and architecture discussions.What Success Looks LikeYou will be successful in this role when you consistently deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable software while helping improve the systems and engineering practices around you.You will take ownership of your work from design through production, solve problems at their root cause, and help improve application performance, stability, usability, test coverage, and release confidence.Most importantly, you will be someone the team can count on.
