Sr Systems Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned IBM ELM Architect to join our aerospace engineering group, where you will be instrumental in pushing forward our Digital Thread strategy. Your primary focus will involve the design, optimization, and integration of the IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) environment to guarantee comprehensive traceability spanning hardware, software, systems engineering, requirements, and manufacturing processes. Core Responsibilities Oversee the architectural framework and administration of the IBM ELM Suite, including Rhapsody, EWM, DOORS Next, GCM, ETM, and JTS. Establish and sustain robust connections between the IBM ELM environment and major enterprise tools like ERP, 3DEXPERIENCE, Windchill, Teamcenter, MES, and CAD. Spearhead Digital Thread projects to foster unified data flow and establish a reliable single source of truth throughout the entire product lifecycle. Ensure project alignment with critical aerospace regulatory standards, specifically DO-254, ARP4754A/B, and DO-178C. Create custom reporting, workflow, and automation tools by leveraging Python, REST APIs, JavaScript, and OSLC. Required Qualifications We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Over eight years of hands-on experience working with Jazz and IBM ELM technologies. Deep technical proficiency in systems engineering tools alongside ETM, EWM, and DOORS Next. Proven track record of connecting ELM environments with PLM solutions like 3DEXPERIENCE, Windchill, or Teamcenter. Extensive knowledge of Digital Thread initiatives, Requirements-Based Engineering (RBE), and MBSE. Prior work history within aerospace or other sectors characterized by stringent regulatory requirements. This position offers a unique chance to influence the trajectory of safety-critical aerospace development and digital engineering by operating at the nexus of enterprise integration, compliance, and systems engineering.
