Machine Operator
Overview
Eric's-sons is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various machinery with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality production standards. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Candidates with experience in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and fabrication are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses with accuracy.
Set up and program machinery using CAD, CAM programming, CNC programming, and Fanuc controls.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and schematics to ensure proper fabrication and assembly.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on machinery to minimize downtime.
Handle materials using forklifts and other materials handling tools safely and efficiently.
Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure products meet specifications.
Assist in fabrication processes including welding, tooling setup, and assembly line operations as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members on projects involving packaging, fabrication, or assembly tasks within the manufacturing facility.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating CNC machines (milling machines, lathes), stamping presses, press brakes, or similar manufacturing equipment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CAD software like SolidWorks or similar tools.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; knowledge of GD&T is preferred.
Experience with CNC programming languages and CAM software is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers for quality control purposes.
Hands-on experience with Fanuc controls or programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is a plus.
Knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes is advantageous.
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred; warehouse experience is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
