This position supports technical activities for the ongoing maintenance and monitoring of wireless systems. This is accomplished by notify carriers and venue owners of system health and providing technical services and support to resolve customer network malfunctions. The Performance Engineer will use RF test equipment to evaluate system performance, evaluate compliance compatibility and troubleshoot operational issues. Carry out RF test execution and generate status and test reports.Attends training classes for OEM products to learn RF principles to become very knowledgeable in all current DAS/Small Cell technologiesResponsibilitiesIdentify system performance problems and possible solutionsResolve customer service issues and assist in implementing solutionsCollect data in support of performance evaluations and program optimizationResponsible for “Pager Duty” alarm clearingRepair and install equipment as neededWork with internal department managers as needed to meet company objectivesWork with Deployment and Construction counterparts to hit project timelines and goalsEvaluate coverage problems and new service area requirements for coverage cellsAt times, identify causes of RF interference and troubleshooting interference problems with various customersOrganize and conduct meetings as necessary to meet departmental objectivesWork closely with Construction team to oversee infrastructure modificationsAttend weekly meeting with customerPersonal QualitiesAnalytical Thinking – Exceptional ability to analyze data and utilize it to make sound decisionConflict Management and Resolution Skills - Build consensus, anticipate and solve problemsResults focused – Ability to organize and manage multiple, and at time competing prioritiesCommunication Skills – Demonstrate communication skills necessary to interpret policies in situations requiring persuasion and prepare and present presentations.
