You will integrate new RF/DL configurations into wearable devices that enable Special Tactics operations.In This Role You Will: Follow and implement Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS), National Security Agency (NSA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and other applicable security guidanceDocument and diagram physical and logical architectures, configurations, and applicable settings.Produce applicable DoWAF architecture viewpoints in accordance with standardsIdentify, validate, assess RF networking shortfalls across multiple platformsDevelop measurable test and success criteriaSupport testing to measure against success criteriaDocument and brief actions and test results in post assessment reviewsDevelop Plans of Instructions and Checklists for Operational use.Provide user training as needed to ensure capability integrationEnsure solutions and activities delivered are aligned with the strategy and visionCollaborate with teammates on complex problems, and recommend improvementsAssist with deconstruction and interpretation of requirements supporting projectsEngage with stakeholders and supporting teams, and ensure customer expectations, satisfaction, risks, and cost are managed appropriately as it relates to your activitiesAdhere to standards, policies, protocols, procedures and best practices that truly embody a "Best of Breed" Development & Engineer services delivery teamParticipate in architectural and design discussions as they pertain to Future State, Concepts, and planned or active Development & Engineering projectsParticipating in strategic engagements and events, as requiredBrief stakeholders on planned and active projects and activitiesKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesRequired:Highly skilled at RF network analysis and research to identify capacity, performance, architecture, and support constraints and problemsAbility Develop RF network engineering approaches and propose courses of action (COA) to the governmentSkilled at development and analysis of RF IP architecturesAbility to assess current operational architectures and configurations to improve operational effectiveness, system performance, efficiency, information security, and configuration managementExperience identifying and documenting applicable standards and best practicesAbility to design, develop, test, and implement suitable RF and network architectures in accordance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD), United States Air Force (USAF), United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), industry guidance, and best practices. Specific experience with a majority of the following required:Standard Airborne BLoS Broadband (AB2) and narrowband (ABN) gateway architectures for voice, video, and C2 IP based servicesStandard Airborne LoS Broadband (ALB) and narrowband (ALN) gateway architectures for voice, video, and C2 IP based servicesStandard airborne and terrestrial, roll-on, roll-off and permanent, sensor payload, intelligence systems, and communications systems network architectures. This includes sensor, warning, and communications networks and aircraft interface architectures. Examples include systems such as the Joint Threat Warning System (JTWS) Air system, TRICS, SLED, and MANET solutionsStandard aircraft local area network (ALAN), boundary, and external network interface architectures. This includes analyzing and developing standard unclassified and classified networks for AFSOC aircraftStandard air-to-air and air-to-ground RF network architectures and plansStandard terrestrial, wireless, and RF base area network (BAN) architecturesStandard deployable terrestrial and RF C2 node architecturesSoftware defined network for aircraft, ground vehicles, and C2 nodesMust be able to effectively conduct and interpret tests, and troubleshoot solutionsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to create and maintain systems related documentationSolid written and verbal communication skillsQualificationsBA/BS or equivalent experience Plus 8+ years providing critical RF transport and network engineering/administration services5+ years' electronic maintenance in the following areas: Digital/analog signal processing, Communications equipment (VHF, UHF, microwave, fiber-optic), Digital computer systems; Test equipment, RF signal processing, Antennas, RF systems.DoW 8570.01 IAT level II certification required: Sec+ CE (Desired)Security RequirementsMust have a SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI (TS/SCI)Work EnvironmentWork environment is either remote teleworking or administrative officePossible TDY's to CONUS and OCONUS environments#armajobs#gditpriorityThe likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
