Project Engineer

Job Title: Project EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer with over 7 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing project objectives, determining project responsibilities and specifications, and maintaining project schedules and product performance. This role requires a professional and presentable individual who will be involved in the entire process from client requests to shipping, working closely with internal teams such as sales, procurement, and shipping.Responsibilities+ Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.+ Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements and reviewing bids from contractors.+ Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates.+ Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.+ Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.+ Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes, and recommending actions.+ Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions.+ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.+ Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.+ Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results in a timely manner.+ Support company manufacturing activities by generating definitions for parts, BOMs, and routings in the ERP system.+ Provide engineering support to both the customer and the production team.+ Create shop drawings and router layouts.+ Ensure work order instructions and supplementary documentation are available to and understood by fabrication personnel.Essential Skills+ Experience with SolidWorks+ Proficiency in CNC routing+ Strong design and project management skills+ Professional Engineer certificationAdditional Skills & Qualifications+ Experience in mechanical engineering+ Drafting skills+ Experience in engineering and plumbing.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgewater, NJ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.87/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
