Overview
In this role you will be part of the Payload Integration and Test team, validating an end-to-end RF system for a high-bandwidth LEO satellite constellation. You will work with cross-functional teams and suppliers to define, test, and optimize wireless components from baseband modems to phased-array antennas. The role emphasizes verification, debugging, and rapid feedback to improve performance in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will shape on-orbit verification and lab testing strategies with a clear impact on system reliability and mission success.

ResponsibilitiesVerify and validate the wireless system across subsystems and end-to-end architectureDefine test plans and procedures for lab, RF chamber, and on-orbit payload testingAnalyze test data, troubleshoot failures, and perform root-cause analysisCollaborate with software, mechanical, modem, and compliance teams to validate system-level operationsConfigure RF test setups and automation-friendly environments (satellite link emulator, spectrum analyzer, signal generator)Engage with suppliers to select enabling lab technologies and componentsDocument test coverage, KPI metrics, and communicate status to developers and managersShepherd payload subsystems through test campaigns from concept to integration and deploymentAssess self-interference and other interference issues; optimize RF link budgets and test configurationsInterpreting results and providing quick feedback to improve performance
