Principal Software Engineer, Developer Experience
Overview
You will help define the long-term technical direction for CoreWeave's Developer Experience, shaping the services, APIs, and standards that scale across teams. You’ll own delivery at scale, tackling CI/CD bottlenecks, build/test times, and release safety while evolving core platforms. Kubernetes is central to our ecosystem, and you’ll lead cross-team efforts, mentor senior engineers, and design agent-safe tooling for AI-enabled workflows. ResponsibilitiesDefine and drive the technical strategy for Developer Experience across build systems, test systems, delivery platforms, and toolingOwn delivery at scale, accelerating commit-to-production flow and improving throughput and safetyArchitect and evolve core services, APIs, SDKs, and abstractions powering build/test/deploy/operate workflowsLead cross-team technical initiatives to improve velocity, quality, and reliabilitySolve high-complexity distributed systems problems including performance and failure handlingIdentify systemic bottlenecks in developer workflows and implement durable, low-friction solutionsEstablish technical standards for code quality, maintainability, observability, and long-term designCollaborate with Infrastructure, Security, SRE, and product engineering to integrate DevEx systemsMentor senior engineers and raise technical quality across teamsDesign agent-safe interfaces and tooling for LLM-driven workflows within the build-test-review lifecycleDefine and maintain internal developer platforms’ golden paths and paved road abstractions
