Respiratory TherapistLocation: Mason City, Iowa (Onsite) Work Type: Contract (90 Days) Schedule: 3 Days / Week (12-Hour Shifts) Hours: 36 Hours per Week Experience Required: Minimum 2 YearsShift DetailsNight Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AMSchedule: Monday Friday (3 shifts/week)36 Hours per WeekThe Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing respiratory care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. This role involves delivering advanced respiratory treatments, monitoring patient progress, and responding to emergency situations. The therapist will collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure effective patient outcomes and high-quality care delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Assessment & Care PlanningAssess patients and determine appropriate respiratory care plans Develop treatment strategies based on diagnosis and patient condition Monitor patient response and adjust care plans accordinglyClinical & Therapeutic InterventionsAdminister respiratory therapies and medications Operate and monitor respiratory care equipment Perform advanced respiratory procedures and modalities Participate in emergency response and code blue situationsMonitoring & DocumentationMonitor, record, and communicate patient conditions Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Evaluate treatment effectiveness and patient outcomesPatient Education & SupportEducate patients and families about respiratory conditions and treatments Provide guidance on post-care and community support resourcesMust-Have QualificationsRegistered Respiratory Therapist ( RRT Certification Required ) Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist Experience in acute care or hospital settings Strong knowledge of respiratory therapies and equipment Ability to respond to emergency situationsPreferred QualificationsExperience as a Traveler Respiratory Therapist Experience in critical care or ICU settings Strong communication and patient education skillsCore CompetenciesCritical thinking and clinical judgment Strong communication skills Patient-centered care Ability to work in fast-paced environments Team collaborationWork EnvironmentHospital / Acute Care Setting Night shift schedule High-acuity patient care environmentAdditional RequirementsMust be open to contract/travel assignment Must be available for night shifts Must be open to onsite work in Mason City, IA
