Senior Advisor- Building Maintenance Units/Powered Platforms

Today the Company employs nearly 2,300 team members in over 95 locations across the United States.Our purpose is to create a safe and reliable world, and our mission is to deliver assurance through precise technical and professional services.We are seeking a Senior Advisor / Mentor specializing in Building Maintenance Units (BMUs)/Powered Platforms to join our Consulting and Design team. You will advise and help train technicians who are performing inspections and conducting maintenance and repairs of BMUs on commercial buildings. Leveraging your expertise, you will train technicians as needed. You will serve as a technical advisor and mentor. The ideal candidate has a strong electromechanical and safety background. You are knowledgeable in codes and standards for powered platform systems and permanent installations. You must be comfortable working at heights.This position is planned for Grand Rapids, MN. However, we will consider other professionally qualified candidates residing in other locations.ResponsibilitiesAdvise and train BMU technicians on site during inspections and repairs on commercial buildings and skyscrapers, as needed and as able.Advise and train technicians over the phone to assist with troubleshooting or repairs.Coordinate necessary activities with project managers, billing, and administrative staff.Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders as needed.Provide professional, timely communication with project managers and clients if needed.Work both independently and as part of a small field team.Travel to regional and national inspection assignments to assist and train the technicians when available. Requires frequent and overnight travel.Follow all OSHA, industry, and company safety protocols.Other duties as assigned.
