Mindgrub: Senior Node.js ArchitectSchedule: 40 hrs/wkContract Length: 6 months (with high potential for extension and/or contract-to-hire)What You'll DoAPI Architecture & DevelopmentDesign and build scalable, secure, and maintainable RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.Champion the use of serverless architectures, especially AWS Lambda and AWS API Gateway to reduce operational overhead and increase system resilience.Ensure high performance and responsiveness of backend systems by optimizing performance and leveraging best practices. System Design & LeadershipLead architectural discussions and make high-level design decisions that align with project and business goals.Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices across the API team.Cross-functional CollaborationPartner with frontend, mobile, Salesforce, and DevOps engineers to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and system issues in distributed cloud environments.Represent the backend team in agile ceremonies and strategic planning discussions.Platform & Process EnhancementDrive improvements in our cloud deployment procedures, observability tooling, and developer experience.Influence technical roadmaps and participate in longer-term architectural planningWhat We're Looking For10+ years of professional software development experienceDeep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript. Strong working knowledge of AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch) – required. Serverless Frameworks and AWS SAMFamiliarity with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman)Strong grasp of API design, security, and performance best practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong self-management and the ability to work effectively on a fully remote teamAbility to work standard business hours in Central Time (CT)Contract DetailsSchedule: 40 hrs/wkDuration: 6-month initial termRemote: Yes (US-based, must work CT hours)Extension: High potential for contract renewal or transition to full-time hireTech & Tools You'll Use Languages/Frameworks: Node.js, TypeScript Cloud Platform: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, etc.
