EHS Manager

Overview In this role, you will lead environmental, health, and safety efforts at the Elkin, NC site as a technical expert within Vitro’s EHS function. You’ll partner with site leadership to drive compliance, safety culture, and cost-conscious practices aligned with ISO 14001 EMS and customer requirements. You will guide investigations, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, communicating results to senior stakeholders. This position offers influence across the site and with EHS leadership to shape impactful, safe, and compliant operations. You will be a key contributor to Vitro’s safety and environmental performance at scale. ResponsibilitiesLead meetings and drive action plans to meet EHS targetsConduct assessments, investigations, audits, and data analysis; report findingsReview and update procedures and EHS programsEnsure compliance with Vitro standards, ISO 14001 EMS, regulatory requirements, and customer specsCoach and engage personnel to improve EHS behaviors and cultureManage all tasks and projects assigned to the roleMonitor and report key EHS metricsInvolve Director EHS US+EUR and Plant Manager in critical decisions Key requirements8-10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial sectorsBS in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Resource Management, Environmental Engineering or related fieldKnowledge of ISO 14001 EMS and regulatory requirementsStrong data analysis and reporting capabilitiesAbility to train, coach and lead cross-functional teamsleadershipclear communicationcoachingISO 14001 EMSregulatory compliancedata analysis
