Basic Job Functions:
Set up, operate, and adjust press brake machinery to bend, form, or straighten metal materials according to specifications.
Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production instructions.
Select proper tooling, dies, punches, and back gauges based on job requirements.
Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, protractors, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy and quality.
Perform machine adjustments to maintain correct part dimensions and ensure consistent production output.
Monitor machine operation and identify issues related to material, tooling, or equipment performance.
Safely load and unload materials, following proper handling procedures.
Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and reporting needed repairs.
Keep work area cleaned and organized, following Nucor safety and housekeeping standards.
Support other fabrication or production departments as needed based on workflow.
Adhere to all safety policies, ensuring safe operation of machinery and equipment at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience operating a press brake or similar metal fabrication equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings
Advanced understanding of measurements, fractions, and basic math
Experience using hand tools and power tools
Ability to use precision measurement instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and protractors
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices
Ability to read and use precise measurement tools to tight tolerances
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
