Clinic Manager

Mackinac Straits Health System is searching for a Specialty Clinic Practice Manager to support our Chief Ambulatory Officer and the team in our Specialty Medical Clinic in St. Ignace. This is a full time position, an RN is preferred but would consider an experienced LPN. The Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing a diverse team of specialty providers, including both employed and visiting clinicians, within a procedure-driven clinic environment. This role requires strong operational leadership and close collaboration with surgical services to ensure seamless care delivery. Key Responsibilities Provider & Team Management: Lead and support multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with clinical goals and operational standards. Operational Oversight: Direct all aspects of clinic operations, focusing on efficiency, quality, and productivity. Clinical Collaboration: Partner closely with surgical services to coordinate care pathways and optimize procedural workflows. Leadership Engagement: Work in tandem with medical directors and the Chief Ambulatory Officer to uphold the highest standards of safety and timely care. Quality Assurance: Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. Workforce: Hire, train and retain qualified members. Qualifications Proven experience managing specialty care teams in a clinical or ambulatory setting. Deep understanding of procedure-driven clinic operations and surgical service coordination. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvements. Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, medical assist or nursing, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred). RN preferred, will consider an LPN.
