Responsibilities include maintaining a safe sterile environment, coordinating the surgical team, managing supplies/equipment, documenting intraoperative care, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.Key Duties:Pre-op assessment, patient verification, and surgical time-outsOR setup, sterile field maintenance, surgical counts, and specimen handlingIntraoperative documentation and patient monitoringCoordination with surgeons, anesthesia, and scrub staffPost-op transfer and handoff to PACUParticipation in emergency response and on-call rotationCompliance with AORN, infection control, and hospital policiesRequirements:ADN or BSN required (BSN preferred)Active RN license or compact licenseBLS required; ACLS required/preferred; PALS & CNOR preferredMinimum 1–2 years OR Circulator experience preferredExperience in general surgery, ortho, OB/GYN, endoscopy, and trauma preferredStrong knowledge of aseptic technique, EMR documentation, and perioperative standardsContract Details:Flexible hospital-based assignment in a fast-paced perioperative settingOn-call/weekend coverage required as neededAbout First Connect HealthAt First Connect Health, we take pride in being a Joint Commission–certified healthcare staffing agency, headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.
