Production Technician (B-Tech) (3rd shift: 11pm - 7:30am) The Technician B Assembly will support manufacturing activities and team members while following policies and procedures related to successful manufacturing operations.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.Drive and lead team in 5SRelieve Team Lead as neededPerform preventative maintenance as required by the scheduleTroubleshot sort stops and perform required quality checksOperate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with emphasis on quality, IATF 16949 standard, safety/environmental, 5S and productivityOperate and maintain automated and semi-automated equipment in a high-volume production environmentAble to communicate and perform in a fast paced, team environment with a positive outlook in communication and conduct with othersAdherence to all company policies and proceduresFlexible to work in any area of operation/shift as neededTravel as neededMay perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned by management.This position has no supervisory responsibilities.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Demonstrated ability to properly use various gauging equipment (i.e., calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, etc.)Prior machining experience.Knowledge of equipment condition check sheets and required documentationAble to perform preventive maintenance as required by the P.M. scheduleAble to perform required quality checks and to troubleshoot sort stops.Problem solving and decision making skills gather, organize, and analyze information to resolve a problem/situation and make sound decisions consistent with JTEKT philosophyAble to cross train on all linesDemonstrate and support the JTKET philosophy and policiesWillingness to learn, master new tasks, policies and procedure in a timely mannerDemonstrated initiative and ability to work without the need for constant direction/supervisionKnowledge of and application of JTEKT standards for quality, IATF 16949, standard work, safety, environmental, IS14001 and ergonomic.Proven ability to contribute toward the success of the team and the companyProficient English communication skillsRegular and punctual attendance is requiredAbility to work overtime and any shift as neededHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.Prior machining experience.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
