Manufacturing Engineer
Role OverviewMust haves: Experience with Alloys 718 and/or A286 and forging + roll threading. Please do not apply if you are not experienced in these areas.We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support the expansion of a growing aerospace and defense business. This role focuses on the development and production of high-performance aerospace components, particularly those manufactured from Inconel, MP159, A286, and 718 alloys.You will play a critical role in building out a new aerospace vertical within an established precision manufacturing environment known for producing ultra-critical, complex components. This is a hands-on engineering position with significant visibility and long-term growth potential.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support manufacturing processes, including forging and roll threadingDevelop and optimize processes for high-strength alloys (e.g., Inconel 718, A286, MP159)Work across the full product lifecycle, from process development through production scale-upCollaborate with engineering leadership to establish best practices in aerospace manufacturingDrive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologiesEnsure compliance with aerospace and defense quality standardsSupport the development of new product lines and manufacturing capabilitiesRequired QualificationsMinimum 4+ years of experience in aerospace or high-specification metals manufacturingHands-on expertise in:Forging and roll threading Processing alloys such as 718 (including cold-worked and high-strength variants), A286, and MP159Working with solution annealed, work-hardened, and age-hardened materialsStrong background in metals manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, fastener production, and coating operationsExperience operating in high-standard environments (aerospace, defense, or specialty metals)Preferred ExperienceBackground with established aerospace fastener manufacturers or similar high-performance component producersFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principlesExperience contributing to new product introduction or business line expansionWhat You’ll BringStrong technical depth combined with a hands-on, problem-solving mindsetAbility to thrive in a growth-focused, evolving organizationPassion for working on complex, high-performance components that require precision and innovationInterest in helping build and scale a new aerospace manufacturing capabilityOpportunityThis role offers a unique opportunity to be foundational in building a rapidly growing aerospace business line, with ambitious revenue targets and strong leadership support.
