Outside Sales Representative - Industrial Equipment

Job Title: Outside Sales Representative Location: Clemtex Houston, 248 McCarty St, Houston, TX 22029 Employee Type: Full-Time Exempt Description: The Outside Sales Representative will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele. About: Clemtex is an established and large supplier of industrial supplies, primarily in the Gulf Coast region. Our equipment supplies area of expertise centers around surface preparation equipment (sand blasting), industrial painting equipment, supplied-air respiratory equipment, and testing equipment for these applications. Clemtex has an engineering and integration division specializing in the automation of equipment around this industry and expanding. Duties/Responsibilities: Learn our equipment range to provide our customers with knowledge and expertise. Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads. Schedule appointments with potential and existing customers within a territory. Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services that meet those needs. Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs. Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post-sale. Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest. Maintain detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems using CRM program. Provide periodic territory sales forecasts. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent sales and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize customer inquiries and requests. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR At least five years of related experience is required. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of driving. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Must be able to travel.
