Teacher Aide

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher's Aide to join our team. As a Teacher's Aide, you will assist the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. Your role will involve supporting classroom activities, providing individualized attention to students, and assisting with lesson planning. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement lesson plans and educational activities - Assist in creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment - Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs or behavioral challenges - Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies - Support students in their social, emotional, and academic development - Help prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities - Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods - Assist with record-keeping and maintaining student files - Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns Qualifications: - Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred - Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children - Basic understanding of behavior management techniques - Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development is a plus - Experience in special education or working with diverse learners is an asset Skills: - Early childhood education - Communication skills (verbal and written) - Childcare experience - Behavior management techniques - Experience working with children - Knowledge of childhood development principles - Familiarity with preschool curriculum and lesson planning - Understanding of special education practices Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
