Job Description
Position: Shipping & Receiving ClerkThe Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving all incoming deliveries and preparing outgoing deliveries in accordance with the highest quality standards.The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will work in a warehouse / light industrial workshop environmental. Exercising caution and awareness of surroundings at all times is crucial. Exposure to loud sounds, sharp objects, mild chemicals, moving machinery and vehicles is common. Usage of proper PPE at all times is required.Responsibilities:Process all outbound shipments. This entails gathering, weighing, cleaning, inspecting, and packaging product for shipment.Audit the contents of each outgoing package prior to shipment.Process all inbound shipments and record incoming merchandise or material. For larger or bulk shipments, use of Hi-Lo, pallet jack, or hand cart may be required.Ability to lift weight up to 60 lbs. occasionally, and up to 20-30 lbs. on a regular basis.Perform duties in a manner that promotes safety.Other duties include assisting with facility cleaning, maintaining equipment, and basic landscaping of property.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required.1 - 2 Years previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related position.Forklift (Hi-Lo) certified.Ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.Ability to handle physically demanding workload.Ability to multitask and prioritize.Strong organizational skillsPay Details:$18.00 - $21.00 per HourSchedule:Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pmPaid Federal HolidaysBenefits:1-week PTO upon hire, increasing by 1-week each subsequent year to a maximum of 3-weeks.Health, Dental, Vision Insurance
