Event Sales Specialist

Clayton Services is searching for an Event Sales Specialist to join a thriving company in the Houston area. The Event Sales Specialist will be responsible for managing inbound leads, conducting client consultations, and closing high-value event contracts.Job Type: Temp-to-HirePay Rate: $41,600 + Commission (OTE competitive with Houston event sales market)Benefits: Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and moreEvent Sales Specialist Responsibilities: Conduct in-person and virtual client consultations to present event offerings and packagesGuide prospective clients through the full sales process from initial inquiry to signed agreementRespond promptly to inbound leads and maintain consistent communication throughout the sales cycleIdentify client needs and recommend customized event solutionsPresent pricing, proposals, and contracts in a clear and professional mannerMaintain accurate records of client interactions, pipeline activity, and follow-ups within CRMManage a high-volume pipeline while prioritizing high-quality client experiencesCoordinate handoff of booked events to internal operations or production teamsMeet or exceed monthly sales and revenue targetsMaintain strong organizational skills with scheduled follow-ups and defined next stepsLeverage AI tools to improve processes and get feedback on sales pitches and negotiation strategiesOther duties as assignedEvent Sales Specialist Skills and Abilities:Strong consultative sales and closing skillsAbility to confidently present and discuss pricing with clientsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple prospects and priorities simultaneouslyProfessional presence in a client-facing environmentComfortable working in a performance-driven, goal-oriented roleProficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking toolsEvent Sales Specialist Education and Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in consultative or high-value salesProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goalsExperience managing a full sales cycle from lead generation to closingExperience with commission-based or incentive-driven compensation structures preferredPrior experience in event sales, hospitality, real estate, or similar industries is a plusBachelor's degree preferredEvent Sales Specialist - Immediate need.
