Graduate Assistant - Women's Flag Football
The Graduate Assistant (G.A) for Flag Football will support the Head Coach in all aspects of daily operations, including coaching, recruiting, player development, administrative duties, and program organization. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in collegiate athletics while pursuing a graduate degree.Primary ResponsibilitiesCoaching & Player DevelopmentAssist in planning and executing practices and game preparationTeach fundamentals, techniques, and position-specific skillsSupport film breakdown, scouting reports, and opponent analysisProvide feedback and development plans for student-athletesAssist with strength & conditioning coordination (as needed)RecruitingIdentify and evaluate prospective student-athletesMaintain recruiting database (Class tracking, evaluations, communication logs)Communicate with recruits via email, phone, and social mediaAssist in organizing campus visits and recruiting eventsEnsure recruiting efforts align with university and NAIA guidelinesOperations & AdministrationAssist with practice setup and breakdownCoordinate equipment, uniforms, and gear organizationTrack player participation (practice, study hall, community service, fundraising)Help manage team travel logistics (hotels, meals, itineraries)Maintain organization of Hudl, playbooks, and team materialsGame Day ResponsibilitiesAssist with sideline organization and communicationSupport substitutions, personnel groupings, and game adjustmentsHelp with film capture and in-game data trackingEnsure all equipment and logistics are handled efficientlyPlayer Support & CultureMonitor academic progress and study hall completionPromote team standards, including discipline, accountability, and leadershipAssist in enforcing team policies (curfew, conduct, expectations)Support team bonding, community service, and fundraising initiativesCreative & Program Growth (Optional but Preferred)Assist with team social media (Instagram, TikTok, recruiting graphics)Help create content for recruiting and brandingContribute to building a strong, competitive program cultureWork ExpectationsAttend all practices, games, meetings, and team eventsRepresent Point University and the Flag Football program with professionalismBe adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as assignedReporting StructureReports directly to the Head Flag Football CoachBachelor's degree requiredAcceptance into a graduate program at Point UniversityStrong knowledge of football/flag football conceptsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including nights and weekendsHigh energy, attention to detail, and a competitive mindsetPreferred QualificationsPlaying or coaching experience in football or flag footballExperience with Hudl or video breakdown toolsBackground in recruiting or player evaluationGraphic design or social media experience (a plus)
