Process Technician
DescriptionDuties & Responsibilities:Recipes & Wafer ProcessingSupports creation, adjustments and/or verification of process recipes to support product development, including adjusting process time, RF power, pressure, gas flows, chemical mix, clean conditions, rotation speed, dispense volume, exposure dose, or focus at the direction of the engineering teamsPerform troubleshooting of defect source and/or measurement analysis/failures to support process control and product qualityFacilitates tool repeatability & reproducibility and tool control with guidance from Integration/development engineering teams to identify solutionsWork closely with process engineers and integration engineers to understand specifications and deliver processing solutionsRespond to inquiries or requests from process or integration engineersTool ManagementPerform process tool qualifications based on set up instructionsConduct tool troubleshooting/system recoveries when process failures occur. Follow Out-of-Control Action Plan to resolve common failure modesMonitor tool health and notify maintenance / tool owners when errors occurCalibrate robots to correct handling issuesTraining & DocumentationTrain other technicians on process tool operationCreate/update operations, recipe creation, and tool recovery documentationProvide detailed pass-down to other shifts, process engineering and integration teamsManufacturing Operations AssistanceRun product through process toolsConduct basic wafer inspections using microscopes, bright light, CDSEM, or AFMSupports priorities of product flow through processing area at the direction of operations leadershipPerform tool setup for various mode changesRequirementsEducation and Experience:High School Diploma and Associates Degree; or equivalent5+ years of semiconductor experience is preferredExperience working with engineersGood problem solving skills, flexibility and agilityWork EnvironmentRoughly 90% of day is spent in the Fab, which a temperature-controlled cleanroom environment that requires the use of a full-body gown, over-boots, over-hood, safety glasses, and ESD equipment. Frequent gowning and de-gowning is required.
