Remote Network EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Remote Network Engineer with strong expertise in Juniper switching and Juniper Network Access Control solutions to support a targeted network implementation project. The engineer will assist with deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of Juniper network infrastructure and NAC integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both Juniper Unified Access Control (UAC) and Juniper Mist Access Assurance, supporting environments that include legacy and modern Juniper NAC implementations. This role is project-based and requires the ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with technical stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure, deploy, and optimize Juniper EX and/or QFX Series switches in a production network environment.Implement and configure Juniper Network Access Control solutions, including Juniper Unified Access Control (UAC) and Juniper Mist Access Assurance.Configure and manage 802.1X authentication, MAC Authentication Bypass (MAB), and endpoint access policies.Integrate NAC solutions with RADIUS servers, directory services (Active Directory/LDAP), and identity platforms.Configure VLANs, switching policies, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking within Junos OS environments.Perform remote troubleshooting and performance tuning of switching and NAC infrastructure.Support network segmentation and access control policy enforcement across wired network environments.Document configurations, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.Collaborate with project stakeholders to validate implementation and perform testing.Required Qualifications5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.Hands-on experience with Juniper EX Series or QFX Series switches.Strong working knowledge of Junos OS configuration and troubleshooting.Experience implementing Juniper Network Access Control solutions, including:Juniper Unified Access Control (UAC)Juniper Mist Access AssuranceExperience with 802.1X, RADIUS authentication, and network identity management.Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, including VLANs and network segmentation.Experience supporting remote network deployments and implementations.Strong documentation and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsJuniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP).Experience with Juniper Mist cloud-managed networking platforms.Experience with network security and zero-trust access models.Experience working in large enterprise, government, or public sector environments.DeliverablesFully configured and validated Juniper switching environment.Deployment and integration of Juniper NAC policies across the network.Implementation documentation and configuration guides.Post-deployment testing and troubleshooting support.Work EnvironmentFully remote project engagement.Collaboration with stakeholders via virtual meetings and secure remote access tools.Flexible schedule aligned with project milestones.
