Data and Impact Manager

Overview Reports to: Executive Director Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (3 days a week) Range: $36,000 - $40,000 Organization: Founded in 2012, Latino U College Access (LUCA) is a social impact organization that transforms lives by making college dreams a reality for low-income, first-generation, Latino youth. LUCA guides students, who have demonstrated academic ability, through individualized coaching and culturally relevant programming as they navigate higher education to successfully enroll in schools that meet their financial and academic needs, enabling them to graduate on time and career-ready with little to no debt. Position: LUCA seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven Data and Impact Manager to join our team and support our mission by effectively managing and leveraging our data. The Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organization's data systems and processes, including data collection, entry, analysis, and reporting. This will include program, fundraising and development data. The ideal candidate will ensure data integrity and security and provide insights that support our programs and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Data Management and Integrity Develop and maintain data management policies and procedures. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all systems. Regularly audit data for quality and integrity. Data Collection and Entry Oversee data collection processes, ensuring compliance with data standards. Manage data entry and validation processes. Train staff and volunteers on data entry procedures and best practices. Data Analysis and Reporting Analyze data to identify trends, outcomes, and areas for improvement. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to support program evaluation, fundraising, and strategic planning. Present data findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner. Database Management Manage and maintain the organization's databases and data systems. Implement database upgrades and improvements as necessary. Work with IT and software vendors to address any technical issues. Security and Compliance Ensure data security and privacy in compliance with relevant regulations. Develop and implement data security protocols. Stay updated on data protection laws and best practices. Support and Training Provide technical support to staff on data-related issues. Conduct training sessions on data management tools and practices. Collaborate with team members to ensure data needs are met. Desired Qualifications: Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, preferably in a nonprofit setting. Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data management software (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Access, SQL). Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and visualization. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly and effectively. Understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
