Strategic Program / Project ManagerPay Range: $90/hour to $110/hour Job SummaryThe Strategic Program / Project Manager supports the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and serves as an execution partner to executive leadership for large-scale, high-visibility initiatives. This role is responsible for translating strategic priorities into structured program execution across complex, cross-functional environments.This position leads enterprise programs including IT initiatives, system integrations, infrastructure investments, and transformation efforts. The role requires strong governance, financial oversight, vendor management, and executive-level communication to ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & Project ExecutionLead day-to-day execution of large-scale, multi-workstream programs sponsored by executive or board-level stakeholdersTranslate strategic objectives into detailed project plans, milestones, deliverables, and timelinesEnsure alignment across multiple initiatives and workstreamsGovernance & Risk ManagementEstablish and manage program governance frameworks, including risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation pathsEnsure adherence to EPMO standards, methodologies, and best practicesMonitor program health and proactively mitigate risksFinancial ManagementManage program financials including ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude), budgets, forecasts, and variance analysisTrack capital expenditures and ensure alignment with financial objectivesProvide financial insights and reporting to executive stakeholdersExecutive Communication & ReportingDevelop executive-level status reports, dashboards, KPIs, and briefing materialsPresent program updates to senior leadership and board stakeholdersMaintain clear, consistent communication on progress, risks, and outcomesVendor & Stakeholder ManagementCoordinate and oversee third-party vendors, consultants, and system integratorsEnsure delivery aligns with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standardsFacilitate cross-functional collaboration across IT, clinical, operations, and finance teamsChange Management & TransformationSupport organizational change management, readiness, and user adoption initiativesDrive alignment and engagement across impacted business unitsContribute to successful implementation of enterprise transformation programsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related fieldProject Management Professional (PMP) certification (required)7+ years of experience in program or project management for large-scale, complex initiativesExperience working within an EPMO or structured program governance environmentProven ability to manage budgets, financial tracking, and capital programsStrong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and executive presentation skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in healthcare systems, academic medical centers, or regulated environmentsKnowledge of EPMO frameworks, governance models, and KPI-driven reportingExperience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A), system integrations, or enterprise transformationsExperience managing IT programs, infrastructure projects, or digital transformation initiativesAbility to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and drive results in fast-paced environmentsCore CompetenciesProgram & Project ManagementStrategic ExecutionEPMO GovernanceFinancial & Budget ManagementRisk & Issue ManagementVendor ManagementStakeholder EngagementChange ManagementExecutive CommunicationWhat Success Looks LikeSuccessful delivery of high-visibility, enterprise-level programs on time and within budgetStrong alignment between strategic objectives and execution outcomesEffective governance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communicationHigh-quality executive reporting and decision supportSeamless coordination across cross-functional teams and external partners
