Job DescriptionThis position is a 1.0 FTE located at Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School.All Teachers/Instructional Staff hired after January 15th are considered term employees. This position is a term position that is effective for FY26 through June 18, 2026 only. You would need to re-apply for a position for FY27.QualificationsMust have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.Special Education endorsementExperienceExperience working with children with autism.Knowledge of and experience with a variety of strategies for instruction for students with autism.Knowledge and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).Experience with the Picture Exchange Communication System.Knowledge and experience using assistive technology.ResponsibilitiesAbility to work effectively as a team member with colleagues.Flexible, dependable, and highly organized.Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to design, implement and evaluate individual behavior management systemsSalary will be based on the FY 2025-26 salary scheduleArlington Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer
