Cryovac LeadResponsible for supervising and guiding a team of machine operators in the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of food production processes. This position ensures the proper functioning of machinery, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and alignment with production goals. The Group Leader serves as a frontline leader, coordinating day-to-day activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and fostering team development to meet operational objectives.Supervise, lead, and support a team of machine operators to meet daily production targets.Ensure proper setup, operation, and shutdown of production equipment in accordance with company protocols and safety standards.Assign tasks and monitor employee performance, providing coaching and feedback to support continuous improvement.Conduct regular equipment inspections and coordinate with maintenance teams to address mechanical issues promptly.Oversee compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and food safety regulations.Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and downtime documentation.Implement and enforce safety policies, conducting toolbox talks and contributing to a culture of safety.Collaborate with other departments to support smooth workflow and resolve production challenges.Support training and onboarding of new operators, promoting skill development and cross-training opportunities.Identify areas for process improvement and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.Perform other duties as assigned.1-3 years of experience in related field is preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation in a manufacturing setting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze problems, think critically, and implement effective solutions.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.This role is eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 hours in a week and may also be eligible for additional hourly premiums for perfect attendance and/or working evening or night shifts.
