IDR is seeking a Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves supporting and maintaining large-scale database systems and infrastructure within a higher education environment, ensuring stability and operational efficiency. Position Overview for the Database Administrator: Join the Enterprise Technology Solutions Team supporting multiple universities and institutions across Texas. Focus on hosting, maintaining, and supporting existing databases in a highly operational environment. Responsible for ensuring environment stability, system backups, restorations, and infrastructure support. Play a key role in managing access, provisioning, and escalations related to databases and server infrastructure. Support Linux and Windows servers with a focus on operational support rather than development. Requirements for the Database Administrator: Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or related field. 5+ years of experience providing SQL Server database administration and operational support. 5+ years’ experience in Windows & Linux infrastructure administration and troubleshooting. Strong experience in backup, restore, disaster recovery, and access management. Experience managing multiple RDBMS including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL. What's in it for you?
