Middle School High School Registered Behavior Technician in Navasota, TX
Bring your passion for supporting students to a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This position offers meaningful impact within educational settings, focusing on individualized support for students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. You'll work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, assisting in specialized environments such as elementary behavior support classrooms and cross-campus Life Skills programs. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, with the strong possibility of renewal and options for summer work.Key Qualifications:Current RBT certification requiredPrevious experience within school settings is ideal, particularly with elementary, middle, or high school studentsSignificant experience supporting students with behavioral needs or providing direct RBT servicesPreferred: Experience with aggressive caseloads and familiar with CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) practices, especially for Life Skills support rolesAbility to adapt to a changing caseload and demonstrate compassion, patience, and strong communication skillsPrimary Responsibilities:Deliver 1:1 behavioral interventions to students in elementary behavior support classrooms and Life Skills programsCollaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement individualized intervention plansEmploy crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies when necessaryAssist in data collection and monitoring student progress toward behavioral goalsSupport a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment for all studentsThe work week runs from 7:15am to 3:30pm, with some variation depending on school needs.
