VP Commercial Lending
Primary Responsibilities: Provides a high level of customer service,both internally and externally. Represents MountainOne positively andprofessionally within the organization as well as in our communities.Supports a positive workplace culture through words and action.Participates in and completes in a timely manner all training asassigned and required. Interview and evaluate new and/or existing loanrelationships based upon due diligence including but not limited tocredit history and loan repayment capabilities. Responsible forappropriate customer history reports, credit files, financial statementsand approvals; reviews with the Department SVP as required. Accuratelycomplete all credit underwriting and make credit decisions based uponCommercial Credit Policy as well as regulatory policy. Monitors riskwithin the portfolio by completing annual credit reviews of existingrelationships to ensure accurate risk ratings are in place. Schedulesand performs closings ensuring that all terms and conditions of approvalare documented properly and collateral positions are in place. Monitorloan maturities, completing procedures for renewals, and adjust annualreviews according to Commercial Credit policy. Complete creditunderwriting and make credit decisions with regard to ACH and RDCapproval for non-borrowing customers. Request and review real estateappraisals and environmental studies as required by Commercial CreditPolicy. Participate and represent the Bank at Chamber Meetings, BusinessDevelopment Programs and other Community Events as necessary. Attendperiodic officer and loan committee meetings, as required. Maintaincompliance with all related bank policies, including Bank Secrecy Act,confidentiality, standardized procedures and regulations. Other dutiesas assigned. New Business Development Pursue new business by executing acalling plan for customer leads, referral sources and other prospects.Deliver exceptional customer service by actively listening to clientsand then promptly providing the best possible solution for theirfinancial needs. Cross-sell value-added products and financial solutionsto new and existing clients. Visit with Centers of Influences (COIs) ona regular basis to ask for referral opportunities. Maintain existingportfolio volume by providing current loan customers withrecommendations for their financial plans and needs. PortfolioManagement Maintain positive customer relationships through regularactive communication (in person, e-mail, telephone). Collect financialstatements, borrowing base certificates and other financial informationfrom customers to ensure timely submission of loan presentations. Workwith credit administration to process annual reviews of credits.Implement actions on problem credits and follow up with appropriatecorrective action plans. Create and maintain partnerships and opencommunication with internal departments to ensure maximum efficiency andcollaboration. Community Involvement Become actively involved in one ormore local civic, charitable, or other non-profit organizations toincrease the visibility of the Bank and to generate new businessopportunities. Position Requirements Bachelor\'s degree in business oraccounting. Minimum of 2 years\' experience as a commercial loanofficer. Proven business development skills. 25% availability to traveloutside of 50-mile radius. Strong commitment for the benefit of and inthe best interest of the organization. Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills. Excellent public relations skills. Excellentfollow-up and organizational skills. Deadline and detail oriented.Moderate computer skills. Ability to deal with and show discretion inconfidential matters. Ability to sit, drive, perform telephone andcomputer input functions.
