You will work closely with the Food Service Supervisor to ensure that each resident's dietary needs are met, contributing to their overall well-being and comfort. Your expertise will support the food service department in creating personalized meal plans, ensuring compliance with prescribed dietary restrictions, and upholding high standards of food quality and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesDietary Planning & Coordination• Collaborate with the Food Service Supervisor and interdisciplinary team to assess residents' dietary needs.• Develop and implement individualized meal plans tailored to meet the nutritional needs of residents, including compliance with physician-prescribed dietary restrictions.• Design and review menus to ensure they meet the required nutritional standards and dietary preferences of residents.Food Service Management & Support• Assist in the development and implementation of food service policies, procedures, and best practices.• Support the Food Service Supervisor in managing daily dietary operations, including monitoring food preparation and service to ensure adherence to dietary guidelines.• Ensure the consistency and quality of meals, monitoring portion control, presentation, and overall compliance with prescribed dietary plans.Team Collaboration & Operational Support• Assist with evaluating staffing needs and supporting the dietary department's operational efficiency.• Work collaboratively with the nursing and healthcare team to ensure the nutritional needs of residents are being met at all times.• Provide education to residents and families on nutritional concerns and dietary recommendations.Compliance & Quality Control• Ensure that all dietary practices comply with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.• Participate in audits and quality assurance reviews to improve food service operations.Qualifications & RequirementsRequired:• Completion of an ACEND-accredited Nutrition and Dietetics Technician program.• Minimum of an Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.• Successful completion of 450 hours of supervised practice in healthcare, foodservice, or community nutrition programs.• Certification: Must have passed the Commission on Dietetic Registration's (CDR) national examination to become a Certified Nutrition and Dietetics Technician (NDTR).• Strong knowledge of dietary and nutrition principles, food safety, and sanitation practices.• Ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team to ensure the well-being of residents.• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Preferred:• Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting is a plus.• Knowledge of dietary software or nutrition management systems is beneficial.Compensation & Benefits• Competitive Salary• Health Insurance: Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage.• 401(k): Retirement savings plan with company match.• Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): Paid vacation, sick days, and holidays.• Discount Programs: Employee discounts on a variety of products and services.• Professional Development: Ongoing training and development opportunities.• Innovative Training Programs: Access to programs to enhance your career growth.How to ApplyOur simple and smooth online application process makes it easy for you to apply!
