Kforce has a client in Shawnee Mission, KS that is looking for a Security Project Manager to lead and execute a robust portfolio of security-centric initiatives.Summary:This is a long-term contract position for a highly skilled individual with a proven track record in delivering complex, cross-functional security projects. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of security principles, project management methodologies, and the ability to navigate a dynamic, complex organizational landscape.Responsibilities:Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for a diverse portfolio of security projects, aligning with the organization's strategic security objectivesManage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budgetIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing and implementing effective contingency plansCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and security stakeholders, to ensure project alignment and successLead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environmentMonitor project progress, communicate status updates effectively, and manage stakeholder expectationsEnsure adherence to security policies, standards, and compliance requirements throughout the project lifecycleContribute to the continuous improvement of the organization's security program* Proven experience in security project management, with a strong track record of successful project deliveryDemonstrated ability to lead and manage complex, cross-functional projectsIn-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levelsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on risk mitigationTechnical proficiency in security technologies and processes, including but not limited to: data governance, penetration and attack testing, identity and access management, attack surface management, cyber security standards and compliance, privileged account managementAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing prioritiesAdditional Considerations:The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the business context and be able to effectively communicate security concepts to non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build consensus among diverse stakeholdersStrong leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
