Readers, Friendly Visitors, and Shopping Companions

CLB provides programs and services to people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired. CLB's programs and services include early intervention services, training and consultation in assistive technology, career placement services, comprehensive low vision care and a wide range of rehabilitation services.,We are looking for volunteers in Maryland (especially Montgomery and Prince George's Counties), Virginia (especially in Annandale, Fairfax, Alexandria, and Arlington), and Washington, D.C. Volunteers visit individuals at their homes to help them pay bills, grocery shopping, and read mail. They also assist in shopping and other errands. They do not have to be able to drive our clients, but it is appreciated if they are able to do so.
