Runnells Rehab Center - QUALIFICATIONS:Graduated of an accredited school of nursing and licensed by the state of NJ as a RN.Current CPR or certified within 90 days of hireOther certifications may be required for other areas of the organizationPOSITION SUMMARY:Registered Nurse SupervisorEvenings 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.Weekends 7- a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.We are looking for a qualified Registered Nurse Supervisor to oversee patients in a psychiatric unit and manage the nursing team of our hospital. Our ideal candidate has solid experience as a registered nurse and is able to handle stressful situations. This position requires team management skills and a problem-solving attitude. Further training in management or administration would be a bonus. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure smooth nursing operation at our facility through day-to-day management and long-term planning.ResponsibilitiesSchedule nurses' shiftsAssign nurses to patientsEnsure nursing operational standards are metProvide reports on productivity, quality and customer service metricsEnsure all nurses follow policies and proceduresTrain new team membersEvaluate nurses' performanceInform family members about medical procedures and doctors' instructionsHandle complaints or other issuesEstablish a compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients, family and friendsKeep records of nurses' files, patients' cases and proceduresSkillsProven work experience as a nursing supervisorIn-depth knowledge of hospital proceduresThorough knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcareTeam management skillsGreat communication and people skillsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsBS or diploma in nursing; training in healthcare administration is a plusValid Registered Nurse License
