Assistant Project Manager, Real Estate Development and Construction
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join a dynamic real estate development team focused on large scale residential, mixed-use, and lifestyle projects throughout South Florida. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the successful execution of complex development and construction initiatives from preconstruction through project closeout.Working alongside senior leadership, consultants, contractors, and development partners, the Assistant Project Manager will help lead all aspects of the development process , ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the company’s vision for quality and long-term value creation.This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about real estate development, construction management, and creating exceptional spaces that elevate communities and experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesPreconstruction PhaseAssist in managing architect, engineer, and consultant and contractors buyouts and contractsSupport procurement, bid evaluations, and negotiationsDevelop scopes of work, schedules of values, and contract exhibitsParticipate in detailed budgeting, estimating, and cost analysisCoordinate value engineering initiatives to optimize project performance and cost efficiencyAssist with project schedule development and milestone trackingCoordinate permitting and municipal approval processesConduct constructability and design reviews with project teams Construction PhaseSupport oversight and coordination of contractors and field activitiesMonitor construction progress and prepare reporting updates for leadershipReview contractors pay applications and supporting documentationAssist in reviewing, negotiating, and tracking change ordersAnalyze project schedules and support recovery planning when necessaryParticipate in risk identification and mitigation strategiesCoordinate project closeout activities, punch lists, and turnover documentation Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is an organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented professional with experience in commercial real estate development, construction management, or owner’s representation.
