Summary We are currently looking for a Buyer/Purchasing Associate for our OTC pharmaceutical operation. As a Buyer you will be responsible for the below listed responsibilities and currently possess the outlined skills: Duties Issue purchase orders for the procurement of materials and services for all aspects of the business Manager vendor deliveries in a manner that best supports the needs of the business Follow up routinely on PO status with vendors and ensuring on-time deliveries Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers to minimize material cost, inventory levels, and transportation costs Create and sustain good relationships with all suppliers, enhancing open and effective communication channels Support the team by doing in person inventory verification as needed Review and validate MRP requirements for accuracy Engage in Supply Chain Analytics with a focus on cost saving opportunities Support the purchasing function through BOM management and ensure ERP system inputs for new and existing items Skills/Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize work Sense of Urgency with a customer service mindset Ability to adapt to new tools and processes quickly Experience using an ERP system- preferred Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends as needed Ability to Commute: Columbus, IN 47201 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
