Payroll Administrator
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies. This is a critical role that requires strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and payroll processing.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll, including calculating salaries, deductions, and benefits, as well as creating and managing payroll schedules and reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Manage and administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Prepare and submit payroll taxes, including federal and state income taxes, Social Security taxes, and Medicare taxes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Analyze and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage and maintain all accounting and payroll software, including Paychex, and ensure all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as HR and Accounting, to ensure seamless payroll processing.
- Prepare and review journal entries and accounts payable.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in payroll administration, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience with payroll processing, including processing payroll, calculating salaries, and preparing payroll reports.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and governmental accounting.
- Experience with accounting software, including Paychex and other accounting software.
- Experience with 10-key typing and ability to accurately and efficiently perform payroll-related tasks.
- Experience with benefits administration and knowledge of various employee benefits.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
Skills
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including accounting principles and governmental accounting.
- Experience with Paychex and other accounting software.
- Ability to accurately and efficiently perform payroll-related tasks using 10-key typing.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
