GIS Developer

Overview We’re looking for a GIS Developer with Python experience to support thedevelopment of a mission-critical Airfield Management Operations System (AMOS)platform.This role sits at the intersection of geospatial technology, aviationoperations, and enterprise application development, leveraging Esri andVertiGIS tools to power real-time decision-making across a major airportenvironment.You’ll work directly with stakeholders and end users to design and buildscalable GIS applications that operate in a 24/7 operational environment. What You’ll Do Design and build GIS applications using ArcGIS Enterprise, Dashboards, and Experience BuilderEnhance and support the AMOS (Airfield Management Operations System) platformDevelop automation and workflows using Python and ArcadePartner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable GIS solutionsSupport spatial data modeling, analysis, and application designBuild and execute QA processes to ensure system reliability in a 24/7 environmentResearch and implement new capabilities across the Esri and Microsoft ecosystem What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience working with Esri GIS technologies (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise)Hands-on experience with:ArcGIS DashboardsExperience BuilderSurvey123 / Field MapsStrong scripting/programming experience with Python and/or ArcadeExperience with enterprise GIS environments and spatial data managementAbility to translate business requirements into technical GIS solutionsStrong communication skills and ability to work with end users Nice to Have (Highly Valued) Experience supporting aviation or airport environmentsExposure to Airfield Management Systems (AMOS)Experience with VertiGIS tools Why This Role Work on a high-impact aviation platform supporting real-world operationsExposure to enterprise-scale GIS architectureOpportunity to own and influence application development in a critical environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $65.00/hr.
