This job supports testing and process for a variety of software engineering projects for defense programs.Candidate will support software development and test automation in C# and Python languages predominantly, as guided by senior engineers. Students will design, develop, and implement features and components to support simulation and network-based software tools.Day-to-Day tasks may include:Designing software functions and classesDebugging software (IDE Debugging & Network Debugging)Documenting code changes, bugs, and user guidance for executionTesting software applications against expected behaviorsReviewing software code changes against coding standards and functionality expectationsRequired Minimum QualificationsInternPursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering FieldMust have a 3.2 or higher GPAPart-Time Intern- Must be registered for 6+ credit hoursCommit to 20 hours of work per week in the Orlando Field Office (Orlando, FL)Experience in 1 programming languageAble to work in-office in Orlando, FLPreferred QualificationsExperience in 2 or more programming/scripting languagesClear communicator, written and oralStrong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering conceptsExperience in hardware, software, or firmware development methodologies and structured approaches to system development.Works well individually and in a group settingHours per Week20 hours per weekU.S. Citizenship RequirementsDue to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.Clearance Type RequiredCandidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.Housing and RelocationHousing and relocation assistance are not available for this position.Equal Employment OpportunityThe Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
