Certified Surgical Technologist

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the operating room, assisting surgeons and ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted efficiently and safely. This position requires a strong understanding of surgical procedures, patient care, and aseptic techniques. The Surgical Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to adapt quickly to changing situations. Duties Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Assist surgeons by passing instruments, suturing, and providing necessary support during operations. Collect and document data related to patient care, including vital signs and medical records. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in various settings including Level I and Level II trauma centers, as well as ambulatory surgery centers. Utilize EMR systems such as Epic for accurate documentation of surgical procedures and patient information. Monitor patients' conditions pre- and post-operatively, providing critical care support as needed. Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and surgical techniques relevant to various specialties including pediatrics and critical care. Participate in ongoing education to stay current with best practices in surgical technology. Experience Candidates should possess experience in the following areas: Operating Room (OR) experience with proficiency in aseptic techniques. Critical care experience, including ICU or PICU settings. Familiarity with hospital medicine and emergency medicine practices. Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and infection control measures. Proficiency in data collection and analysis skills relevant to patient care. Experience using EHR systems for managing medical records effectively.
