Technician, Facilities Maintenance (7:00am - 3:00pm)

With dedication, hard work, and a shared vision, we can continue to make SAI a leader in our industry.Join us and become part of our global team, where together, we can achieve success and contribute to a better future.Position Summary:Perform duties to ensure the continuity and operation of all building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and grounds.Essential Job Functions:Work from work orders, maintenance manuals, prints, schematics, wiring diagrams and instructions:Perform work orders and preventive maintenance daily and prioritize work with Plant Engineer.You must be able to use a desktop computer, laptop, or pad device to enter work orders and PM's using the CMMS System and BAS System.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, repair and maintain building facilities and systems using knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical/electronic technology, welding, HVAC, pumps, mechanical technology, overhead door repair, tile replacement, and drywall repair and painting.Perform preventive maintenance and inspection following standard preventive maintenance schedule.Install, connect and maintain electrical circuits (480V, 220V, 277V, 120V, and low voltage 24V and 12V systems and distribution equipment.Maintain and repair water, gas and compressed air piping and equipment for machinery and facility use.You must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in all types of environments indoors/outdoors.Assist in rigging and relocation of machinery and equipment.Basic computer knowledge, Office, Word, Excel etc. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. With coworkers, office employees and upper management.Promote safety, work with safety protocols and procedures.Maintain facility and grounds: remove snow, spread salt, maintain parking lot, repair fence and windows.Ability to work independently and in a team environmentRespond to facility and equipment emergencies during non-scheduled hours.Use lathe, drill press, grinder, hand power tools, micrometers, calipers, forklift, welding equipment, measuring tools, and a variety of hand tools.Assemble or dis-assemble, move and maintain office furniture.Cleaning and janitorial duties, if required.Keep work area, office and workshop in a clean and orderly condition.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge/ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED plus minimum 5 years with mechanical facility experience. Use mathematics together with the analytical use of complicated maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams or prints, and use various types of adjustable measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers. However, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
