You will operate in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and act as a point of contact for all employees on process and procedures, and guidance on all aspects of the employee life cycle. Responsibilities include managing new hire onboarding processes and HR data, employee relations, payroll procedures, and training for staff.The Day-To-DayOn Any Given Day, You WillInterprets and implements human resources policies and procedures for attorneys and support staffSupports all internal and external HR related inquiries or requestsPartners with Regional HR Director to provide guidance to supervisors for human resource employee management including counseling, coaching, employee development and retention, warnings and performance improvement plans and termination recommendationsMaintains digital and paper records of employeesManages Family Medical Leave and ADA requirementsProvides administrative support to Regional Human Resources DirectorManages new hire orientation, onboarding, I-9 verifications and staff integration processSchedules meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendasProcesses HR invoices and expense reportsCompletes termination paperwork, conducts exit interviews, records responses, and analyzes survey reportsProcesses personnel action forms, unemployment claims and Affirmative Action reportsAssists National Recruitment team with staff recruitment, writing job descriptions, sourcing qualified candidates, preparing offer lettersPartners with the Regional HR Director to assist with the annual evaluation process and ad hoc projectsParticipates in diversity, pro bono, civic and charitable initiativesYou HaveBachelor's Degree or Equivalent ExperienceA minimum of 2-4 years of experience in HR within law firms or professional services supporting multiple offices. PHR, SHRM-CP, or Equivalent certificate preferred.Previous experience in related field such as business administration or human resources, is preferredMust possess effective interpersonal skills, analytical skills, time management, conflict resolution, and a proven record of influence and interactions at all levels of an organizationMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to set priorities and delegate in an efficient mannerAbility to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgmentExcellent computer proficiency in programs such as Workday, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), ChromeRiver, etc.What We ProvideSeyfarth provides competitive salary and benefits at all levels, and our culture embraces the entrepreneurial spirit of its professionals like no other firm. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Seattle. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs.
