Financial Controller
We are a dynamic and fast-paced production company specializing in live events, brand experiences, and creative direction. Our projects range from large-scale festivals to exclusive corporate events. We are seeking a results-driven Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management and help drive operational excellence.Position Summary:The Controller will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the group of companies, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented finance leader who can work in a deadline-driven, creative environment.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, complex inter company transactions and Revenue RecognitionEnsure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close out processesManage project-based accounting, including job costing and event profitability analysis Collaborate with departments to track budgets vs actualsPrepare internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAPLead cash flow forecasting and working capital managementDevelop and maintain internal controls and financial proceduresLiaise with bankers and third parties as when requiredSupport financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting and forecastingReview of payroll processing and compliance with labor regulations (including 1099 and W-2 contractors)Implement accounting systems and improve automation for scaling operationsMaintain compliance with 401k filling, local, state, and federal government reporting requirementsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or preferred5–10 years of accounting experience with business management experience as a requirementExperience in the entertainment, production, or live events industry as a requirementAdvanced proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tipalti, NetSuite, or similar ERP)Familiarity with production workflows is a plusStrong Excel and analytical skillsProven leadership and team management experienceHigh attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsUK experience with PAYE and VAT returns a plus.Work Environment:On-siteFast-paced, collaborative, deadline-driven environment$120,000-$140,000/year
