Chief Accounting Officer

Key ResponsibilitiesLead all financial operations including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, audit, and financial reportingPartner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute the company’s long-term strategic growth plansProvide financial analysis and recommendations related to land acquisition, development investments, community performance, and expansion opportunitiesOversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and capital allocation strategiesDevelop and maintain financial models to support operational planning and investment decisionsEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAPEstablish and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and risk management processesManage banking relationships, lender reporting, credit facilities, and capital structure optimizationOversee project and community-level profitability analysis, cost controls, and operational performance metricsSupport land acquisition underwriting and financial diligence for new developmentsLead financial system enhancements and process improvements to support scalabilityPresent financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to ownership, investors, and other stakeholdersBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting teamQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferredCPA strongly preferred15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior finance executive experiencePrior CFO, VP of Accounting, or senior finance leadership experience within real estate, property management or related industriesStrong understanding of homebuilding financial drivers including land acquisition, development costs, construction cycle accounting, and community profitability metricsExperience managing lender relationships, debt structures, and capital planningStrong technical accounting and financial reporting expertiseProven success partnering with executive leadership to drive business growth and operational performanceExceptional leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making skillsAdvanced financial modeling and ERP systems experience
