Lead Teachers

Blessed Beginnings Learning Center is looking to recruit experienced and qualified early childhood education professionals. Full Time and Part Time opportunities available! Position: Lead Teachers Classrooms: Infants, Toddlers, Preschool and Pre-K Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour with CDA Shifts: Flexible (7:30 AM - 4 PM) Location: 14050 E 8 Mile Rd, Detroit, MI 48205 Benefits: 401k Matching Aflac T Scholarship (CDA or AA, or BA) to help further education Medical Paid Holidays PTO after 6 months Earned Vacation days to be used when the center is closed (Accountability point system reviewed quarterly) Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Creating and following lesson plans Teaching students as they prepare for grade school Helping children with eating Diapering/toileting, Cleaning, keeping a clean and safe room, Keeping appropriate logs Lead Teacher Qualifications: CDA Certification, an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred) or willing to obtain A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an accredited Early Childhood Program Willing to pursue classes in Early Childhood Education, as required by the program Strong written, verbal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to establish supportive relationships with staff and families from diverse backgrounds Ability to professionally interact with people of various cultural and social backgrounds Ability to utilize basic office equipment and learn how to enter data Ability to work within a team environment as a cooperative and supportive team member Ability to sit on the floor and lift children up to 50 lbs We provide the comprehensive training needed to be successful in this excellent and highly rewarding career.
