This candidate will help build new capabilities to drive personalization, demand generation, and customer centered growth strategies through both in person & digital channels, with measurable financial impacts in the business.The Manager, Personalization will be responsible for driving implementation of Sysco’s Personalization capabilities related to the customer lifecycle, taking the lead on discrete use case(s) and providing analytical support.This person should have a cross-section of skills spanning strategy, sales, technology, consumer insights and analytics and be an innovative, data-driven leader. They will work with a cross functional team to execute, test and learn, working closely with program leadership, functional teams (e.g., sales, merchandising, pricing), technology teams, and business units.Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of personalization use case(s):Support the definition of the approach and guide the design of personalization tactics for use case(s) associated with one of the customer life cycle stagesCreate a simplified, intuitive journey for our customers across all channels (digital & in-person) for select use case(s) working with the channel activation teamLead analytical, hypothesis driven approach to generating value from personalization use case(s)Manage use cases across the full development lifecycle, including ongoing enhancement & refinementWork with cross-functional business teams (including the field organization), Data Science, and Business Technology teams to ensure that personalization use cases are effectively developed, scaled, and optimizedBuild learning agendas, analyze results, and integrate findings into the organization for on-going execution and refinementMeasurement, Tracking, DashboardingDevelop and build metrics and tracking to ensure value is captured from all use cases being developed and deployedDesign & develop appropriate mechanisms for tracking & performance management (e.g., Tableau dashboards, reports)Build both internal and field-facing dashboards and reports, leveraging Tableau, Salesforce, and other internal reporting tools to:Enable tracking and performance management of owned use case(s)Support sales processes & end user enablementDrive operational cadences associated for the use case(s)Team Management & CoachingWork with a cross-functional team of analysts, business SMEs, and technical resources to deliver use impactManage associate and business partner resources on completing use case requirements & dashboarding associated with a use caseDrive new ways of working, in a truly cross-functional and agile way, across various teams in the organizationEducation RequiredBachelors in an analytical field (e.g., Business, Economics, Engineering)Education PreferredMBA or other advanced degree from a top tier educational institutionExperience Required3+ years in a corporate setting or leading professional services company in an analytical or strategic role such as Personalization, Strategy, Insights, or Product managementExperience Preferred5+ years in a corporate setting or leading professional services company in an analytical or strategic role such as Personalization, Strategy, Insights, or Product managementWholesale distribution, retail / ecommerce, or CPG experience helpfulLeveraging analytical tools to query data (SQL experience) and generate reports and dashboard (dashboard tool experience like Tableau, PowerBI, etc) to help analyze results and generate insights for optimizing customer journeys and actions.Technical Skills And AbilitiesFamiliarity with digital technologies and data elements & sourcesUnderstanding of business value drivers and corresponding business impactAbility to problem solve in a structured and logical framework that encompasses problem statement definition, data analysis, and insights and recommendationsAbility to work in a collaborative work environment that enables a cross-functional team with various backgrounds and capabilities to execute at a high-levelStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; comfort interfacing with both technical and management teamsExperience working in an agile team environmentLanguage RequirementsEnglishPhysical DemandsReasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.Travel Requirements0-25%OverviewSysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
